I recently finished a grade 3-4 work for the West Ridge Middle School Band in Austin TX. The piece, "Cafe 512" will be premiered at this year's MidWest Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago. The piece will then be available for purchase as a set after the conference. Please look for a perusal score and the mock-up recording to be posted on this website in the coming weeks.

If you are looking for one of my concert works you will notice (if you have been on this site before) that the individual pages that contained audio and information about each piece are now gone. I have consolidated all of the music onto a new media player that will allow you to listen to the piece, peruse through the score, and obtain any other information about the work. There is also a media player on the "portfolio" and "shows for lease" page of outdoor music. If you have questions or need help using the new features please do not hesitate to contact me.

Happy St Patricks Day!!

Been a busy couple weeks. I spent some time in San Antonio for the TMEA convention and it was great to catch up with friends, eat good food, and also get in a few design meetings for the fall. I also was able to get up to Denton this past Thursday night for the UNT Wind Symphony performance of "Firefly". It was a fantastic concert and I was thrilled to be there for it. The Wind Symphony will be recording "Firefly" later this spring... details to come on that.

My wife has a really cool job. She is one of the two people who produce the kids area at two of the biggest music festivals in the country: Lollapalooza (Chicago) and the Austin City Limits Festival (Austin). ACL is this weekend and it promises to be a great show. Check out this promo vid for this years Kidzapalooza and you'll get a better idea of what she does.

So it would seem that FIREFLY is finding it's wings (yes, I know what a lame pun that was, couldn't resist). After receiving performances at the ABA convention, the Interlochen Arts Academy, and the MidEurope festival in Austria over the summer FIREFLY now has 10 confirmed performances this fall! A few of these include the Midwest Clinic in Chicago, the Michigan Music Conference (MMC), the Ohio Music Educators Conference, and the 11-12 Grade Florida All-State Band.
